if the British & Irish lions lose on saturday do they still play the final game the week after?
I’m not that big into rugby so I don’t know
please god they will win, but if south africa win the second test, they’ll be 2-0 up and win the series, will the final game be played? what would the point be in playing it?
Remember — the real point of this Lion’s tour is as a money-maker for the four British/Irish Unions and the South African Union. In the professional era, no throw-together squad like the Lions can expect to beat an established one like the ‘Boks in a multiple-game series, and everyone who is the least bit realistic about elite-level rugby knows it.
So of course they will play the third game, even if the springboks have already “won” the series. Why in the world would they forgo the revenue?
