Why do some American Rugby and Football teams use New Zealand’s Haka?

As an Aussie, I have always enjoyed watching the traditional Maori Haka, both Ka Mate and Kapo o Pango, when the Wallabies and All Blacks play. I have only recently found out that some American teams also do the Haka, I’m a little confused why they would do the Haka and even as an Aussie somehow offended. If its okay by some, why don’t the USA Rugby team perform the Haka at the Rugby World Cup too?

The haka is a traditional dance done for protection and good luck to the “God’s” in later New Zealand. Teams mimic the dance for show as well as to try to gain an intimidation factor in the other team. The good luck thing doesn’t hurt either

MAny American clubs, especially those in Utah and southern Californis are heavily influenced by and heavily populated with polynesians. Hence the haka.
In Utah the game is much more a TOngan and Soamoan one than an Irish, Aussie, Or English one.
